What do you use to whiten?

Whitening removes stains by penetrating enamel through oxidation. We use hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Our teeth whitening treatments are safe, using TGA-approved products and following best practices. However, it’s generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult our dentists to see if it’s suitable for you. 

Will whitening work my fillings, veneers, crowns or bridge?

No, whitening will only work on natural tooth structure. Your fillings, veneers, crowns and bridges will not change colour. 

How long does in chair whitening take?

In chair whitening takes about 90 minutes. 

How do I use the take home whitening trays and gels?

Your dentist will instruct you on using custom whitening trays and gels, demonstrating proper care. Apply a small amount of whitening gel in the tray, wear it for at least an hour, then rinse your mouth and clean your tray.

Does whitening make your teeth sensitive?

After teeth whitening, particularly with in-chair treatments, some people may notice increased sensitivity in their teeth and gums for a few days.
